Melissa Lever is the Practice Director and founder of Physio On Miller. She’s passionate about helping people feel their best. Following graduating from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy), Melissa has built a diverse career in both hospital and private practice.
Melissa Lever started working as a physiotherapist with extensive training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. At RPA she worked under the mentorship of leading physiotherapists, allied health professionals, nurses, doctors, and surgeons. This hands-on experience with a variety of medical cases gave her a deep understanding of different health conditions.
After moving into private practice, Melissa joined a top Physio clinic on the lower North Shore. This clinic specialised in knee injury prevention and rehabilitation. The experience and training she received there, exposed Melissa to a wide variety of musculoskeletal problems.
In addition to her practical skills, Melissa has continued to pursue further education and has completed a Certificate in Manual Therapy from Curtin University in Perth and a Certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from Latrobe University in Melbourne.
Melissa has a deep passion for Pilates, both as an enthusiastic participant and a certified instructor. Having personally experienced and enjoyed the benefits of Pilates, Melissa believes in its capacity to aid patients in their recovery. Pilates helps build core strength, stability, and enhances overall physical and emotional well-being. Thanks to Pilates, Melissa gained substantial improvements in strength and recovery during her own pregnancy and postpartum. Melissa has completed Pilates Instructor Training with Stott Pilates, the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute, and the Pilates Institute of Queensland.
When not at work, Melissa enjoys time at the beach. She is a keen runner, swimmer and recreational netball player. She also enjoys chasing after her three energetic kids at the park.
