Louisa Cheok graduated with a Master of Physiotherapy from The University of Sydney. Her educational journey began with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), which laid a solid foundation for her subsequent career in physiotherapy. Her passion for aiding people in recovering from musculoskeletal injuries is evident in her approach, which focuses on active rehabilitation and equipping patients with the tools they need to return to their pre-injury state.
Louisa’s commitment to holistic recovery is reinforced by her extensive experience with Pilates, where she regularly participates in both Reformer and Mat Pilates sessions. Louisa views Pilates as a crucial rehabilitation tool, instrumental in strengthening and conditioning the body, which is vital for maintaining overall physical health and managing everyday activities. She enjoys challenging her clients to improve their strength, balance, flexibility and function, making her classes fun and a fantastic, safe workout.
In addition to her professional and rehabilitative skills, Louisa has a rich background in sports. She has competed at a representative level in both Netball and Basketball, participating in northern suburbs competitions as both a player and a coach. Her athletic career also includes being a member of the UTS Gordon’s inaugural Women’s Rugby 7’s team. Through these experiences, Louisa has not only honed her skills in sports but also gained firsthand knowledge of dealing with sports-related injuries.
Outside of the clinic, Louisa enjoys staying active and indulges in her love for Pilates, visits to the beach, café hopping, and shooting goals on the netball court. Her diverse interests and experiences contribute to her well-rounded approach to physiotherapy, making her a valuable asset to our team and an excellent resource for our patients.
