Our small group Mat Pilates classes focus on postural alignment by strengthening your core muscles and increasing flexibility. These floor-based exercise classes use a mixture of small props such as FitBalls, Pilates Rings, Toning Balls, Bands and small weights. Our classes aim to challenge your core and flexibility while ensuring you perform the exercises safely and effectively.
Our Mat Pilates classes (max 8 clients) are taught by experienced physios providing you with expert understanding and experience of injury prevention and rehab. Exercises are challenging while ensuring appropriate modifications for your body.
Beginner/Intermediate Mat Classes
These classes are perfect for clients who have never attended Pilates classes before, are recovering from an injury or require specific focus on correct posture. Our focus is on familiarising you with the repetoire of exercises while still providing you with a challenging workout. You will be taught efficient breathing and movement while focusing on correct alignment through controlled exercises. As you become confident in the exercises you will continue to progress through modifications and harder exercises ensuring you get a great workout and the best possible results.
Intermediate/Advanced Mat Classes
In these classes you will experience a higher intensity and faster pace routine. These classes are for clients who are wanting to increase their repetoire of exercise while still maintaining good postural alignment and control. During this class you will have fewer rest periods and have better body awareness of your weaknesses and necessary corrections to perform exercises with the greatest precision possible. You will get a great cardio workout while building strength and burning calories.
Clients can join classes at anytime and classes run continually throughout the year.
